An open art group in Prestatyn, Aimee's Friday Art Group supports people to improve their sense of wellbeing and engage with others; and which, due to its success, is receiving referrals from the Local Health Board as part of social prescribing.

Aimee’s Friday Art Group has been running for three years at Prestatyn's Old Library. It is a two-hour session delivered every Friday morning throughout the year. The aim is to bring people together, share ideas, techniques, socialise, make art/crafts, have fun and enhance lives through art. Recent sessions have included experimenting with a variety of media including encaustic art, charcoal art, ceramics, illustration, and crafting. 

The group is open to anyone regardless of artistic ability or experience. Many of the participants have found more formal art sessions elsewhere to be uninviting or costly. Many have commented they feel much freer to express themselves here than they would elsewhere. Since 2017 the group has been receiving referrals from the local GPs and Occupational Therapists.
