Volunteering at Woolwich Works in LondonArea: London

Woolwich Works opened in September 2021 as a new landmark cultural hub within the historic setting of Royal Arsenal Riverside. The buildings include a large performance space, medium-sized show spaces and dance studios, plus smaller spaces for functions.  It also has an outdoor courtyard area and a newly revamped café that transforms into an intimate evening show space.

Volunteers play a central role in helping Woolwich Works create an inviting and friendly environment for everyone that visits them.

As a volunteer, you will:

  • Engage with visitors about the venue and the different shows they offer.
  • Attend briefings, where essential information for an event is communicated.
  • Participate in fire evacuations and other general emergency procedures. You will also assist in carrying out safety checks and help ensure that visitors are safe throughout their visit.

  • Report any behaviour that is not permitted during shows, such as unsolicited photography.
