Towersey Morris is a mens cotswold morris side, based in the village of Towersey near Thame in Oxfordshire, England.

We meet regularly, usually beginning at 8pm in The 3 Horseshoes Pub’s barn, then move on at 9.00pm to Towersey Village Hall, to rehearse and perform. Check our our Summer Programme 2022.

New men are always welcome to join us! Absolute beginners, possessors of two left feet and experienced dancers are all equally welcome. After practice we refresh ourselves at our favourite hostelry The Three Horseshoes which is just round the corner. Give our Bagman a call beforehand to find out more.

From the beginning of May to the end of July we dance out at pubs on Wednesday evenings, and also at fetes, festivals and other functions. Many years include a foreign trip (sometimes more than one) where our displays of English tradition and folk culture have never failed to win us friends or to be immensely enjoyable.

Towersey Women’s Morris practice in the barn at The Three Horseshoes, Chinnor Road, Towersey, at 8.00pm on Wednesday evenings.

Come and see what we do, how we have fun, exercise, English tradition, music, dance and a drink afterwards. We’re keen to recruit anyone who wants to join, from teenagers to much more mature dancers - most new members are absolute beginners, but by now, we can give an enjoyable evening’s practice to more experienced dancers - and we can certainly make everyone welcome. You’re very welcome to just turn up, but to make sure you haven’t picked one of the very rare Wednesdays when we’re not practicing, it’s better to phone Paul in advance on 01844 344255.
