The Outback community kitchen and garden is a Halifax Opportunities Trust project based in Calderdale's Park Ward. Established for the benefit of the local community, the large garden runs on organic and sustainable principles and is packed full of edible produce including herbs, fruit and vegetables.

The strawbale community kitchen provides space for the community to gather, cook food and increase their skills, providing a range of health and wellbeing activities and volunteering opportunities, and the facilities are available to use by local people, groups and organisations.

Frequency: Open to the public Thursday afternoons. Family gardening sessions, Tuesdays at 3.30 – 5.00pm (April – October)
