Established in June 2018, the Listen Share Change project was initiated by The Verbal and Northern Ireland Housing Executive working in partnership. The project brings together community volunteers who already deliver creative sessions in their communities to help people voice issues that affect them through a programme of facilitated sessions. The project has successfully recruited a network of Neighbourhood Champions from across Northern Ireland. Participating community groups have nominated 32 Neighbourhood Champions who are delivering a 36-week programme of weekly shared reading and facilitated conversations. The volunteers receive accredited training, and represent their community at network meetings and events. The The Verbal and Northern Ireland Housing Executive are committed to continuing to support our network beyond the lifespan of the funded project.
