Deadline:  16 February and 7 September 2017

The Idlewild Trust supports programmes that address the lack of opportunities for young professional musicians, dancers, actors, writers, artists and those involved creatively in the arts, particularly at an early stage in their career.

Programmes need to be run by professional organisations that are UK registered charities with a strong track-record.

The Trust also supports the conservation of important works of art and historic objects being lost through a lack of funds to look after them. Works must be in museums, galleries, places of worship or historic buildings and their grounds, and be accessible to the public.

Grants of up to £5,000 are available.

Grants awarded include £3,000 to Scottish Opera’s Emerging Artists Programme (pictured) to help nurture talented young opera singers and help them into performing arts careers.
