The Teapot Trust is looking for enthusiastic Event Volunteers to donate their time to helping children through art.

The Teapot Trust provides a nationwide programme of art therapy and creative interventions to support the wellbeing of chronically ill children, young people and their families in hospitals. It's work aims to build resilience in children with chronic illness by encouraging them to express emotions, mentally overcome their condition and develop healthy coping mechanisms.

Working with qualified art psychotherapists, the Teapot Trust provides creative distractions and positive experiences for children and their families during hospital visits. Four models of professional art therapy are currently available:1-to-1 for children who need focused support, open groups for any child attending an out-patient department clinic, ward-based therapy for in-patients, and workshops.

Throughout the year, the Teapot Trust is involved with numerous community events across Scotland, with the aim of raising funds and awareness, enabling the organisation to support more chronically ill children and their families. As an Events Assistant, your role could include helping to set up and run events, coordinate craft activities, or selling Teapot Trust merchandise.

As the location, time, and type of events varies, interested volunteers are asked to sign up to be part of the Teapot Trust events network. Once registered, event volunteers will be notified when event assistance needed in your area.
