Take part in the world's biggest DIY music festival

Registrations for Make Music Day are open now! Last year, 450 events took place involving over 36,000 music-makers. You can take part in 2024 by organising your own event about music in your own community. 

Events can be big or small, indoors or outdoors, professional or amateur. They can take place in parks, town centres, libraries, schools, community centres, shopping centres, offices, care homes, or anywhere else - including online. They can feature jazz, folk, classical, dance, rock, R&B, EDM, rap, electronic, or any other genre you can think of, so long as they follow these three rules:

1. Events must be free
2. Events must take place (or premiere) on Friday 21 June 2024
3. Events must be about music
