The Together Fund

Deadline: on-going

Location: England

The Together Fund will help organisations recover from the long-term impact of COVID-19. It’s designed to support specific activities and increase the availability of exercise opportunities in local communities. It can also be used to support community groups with developing their business planning, helping them reach their target audience.

Who can apply?

  • A not-for-profit voluntary or community club or organisation
  • A registered charity
  • A not-for-profit company, community interest company or other social enterprise
  • A statutory body
  • Sole Trader/Partnerships and freelancers (check eligibility terms).

Un-constituted groups

For ideas generated by individuals and/or un-constituted informal groups, it is worth considering whether another Accountable Body, such as a VCS, could support the group and act as the applicant/manage the funds for them.

Applicants can be community groups and local organisations working with target groups, even if you have never delivered a sport, physical activity, or exercise project before. Applications from from disability-led and culturally diverse communities as well as organisations/groups located within areas classified as deprived.

What does the fund support?

Grants between £1,000 and £5,000 will be given to projects from organisations who support people with long-term health conditions, people from lower socio-economic groups, culturally diverse communities and disabled people to get physically active. Organisations in England (outside London) should work on creating opportunities for people with long-term health conditions to stay active in their local communities. Funding should be spent by 31st March 2023.
