Do you want to keep fit and active? Have an enjoyable evening out and the opportunity to make new friends? That’s exactly what Scottish country dancing offers. So, forget any preconceived ideas you might have and give it a try!

We are the Oban & Lorn branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. Our classes and most of our events are held in the Church of Scotland Centre, Oban, Argyll. This Branch was formed in 1956 and having celebrated our 60th birthday 2 years ago, continues to flourish.

We run a General Class on a Monday evening from September to March and have an Annual Dance in November with a Christmas party on our last night in December. There are Advanced Classes for the more experienced dancer, once a month in October, November, January and February.

We hold an Annual Weekend School in March each year in the Corran Halls in Oban, which attracts dancers from all over the world as well as the UK.
