Since 2019, Reading Playwrights has offered new and amateur playwrights in Reading and the surrounding areas an opportunity to develop their writing practice, by having their work performed and receiving audience feedback.

We are a volunteer-led group that believes playwriting should be accessible for everyone, regardless of age, income, ethnicity, or any other factor. We aim to develop attendees who might want to pursue playwriting professionally and to support amateur writers to encourage and express their creativity.
