These have ranged in size from £100 up to £20,000 and everything inbetween. In each case, the grants have enabled local creative groups to improve the lives of people in their communities.
From buying materials and equipment, paying for essential utilities and covering transport costs, to offering free spaces for people on low income, and bringing in artistic expertise, creative groups have proved time and again they can make a little go a long way.
Creative Lives has partnered with arts councils, local authorities, community alliances, government departments, and more to distribute funds which, over the past five years, have totalled almost £1million.
