Formerly known as St James Orchestra, we are Paisley's only symphony orchestra, established in the town for over 50 years.

We are an amateur adult group of roughly 50-55 like-minded people who enjoy playing the standard repertoire as well as works by living composers.

We meet at Wallneuk North Church Hall, Abercorn Street, Paisley on Sunday afternoons from 2.15-4.45pm during the months of September to April.

St James Orchestra is always pleased to welcome new members. No formal audition is necessary but previous experience of orchestral playing is helpful. We suggest that players, particularly string players, need to be of at least ABRSM Grade VI standard to get the most enjoyment from rehearsing some difficult works.
