Odd Arts uses theatre to reduce inequalities and increase wellbeing and cohesion.

All our theatre is free at the point of use for the community.

Our aims:

  • Improve mental-health and wellbeing
  • Build more cohesive and safer communities
  • Improve life chances for people within the criminal justice system
  • Increase access/engagement to culture for people facing disadvantage and discrimination

  • Nonviolent/compassionate communication.

Our objectives:

  • Deliver therapeutic theatre projects with marginalised groups, predominantly in prisons and criminal justice
  • Host a creative community hub and wellbeing programme to reduce poverty and ill health
  • Provide creative training for personal and social transformation
  • Deliver theatre workshops tackling complex social justice issues in schools, communities and prisons
  • Community-led social action projects
