Mark Forde, a 19-year-old Multimedia Student at Dublin City University, has been announced as the photographer and videographer for Creative Places Edenderry.

Creative Places: Edenderry is our ambitious project which aims to put people, place, and participation at the centre of cultural life in Edenderry, County Offaly.

As part of this programme, we're excited to announce that Mark Forde has been commissioned as the project photographer and videographer.

Mark has been pursuing photography and videography for the past few years through sports, theatre and commercial work. He was born in Edenderry and loves playing sports and music as much as he does recording them.

Recently, he's been working with Offaly and Leinster GAA, live bands and theatre in Dublin, and now with Creative Places on this Edenderry project. Mark said:

"Ecstatic is an understatement for how excited I am to join the journey of documenting this project. Capturing the essence of art, community and togetherness of Edenderry is something I’ve been doing through my own work and with other organisations around the town, and now to join the Creative Places Edenderry team is a huge privilege.

"I plan to attend creative events occurring around Edenderry and document them, creating not just a digital archive but a social platform to grow and spread the goodness that this journey contains!"

Creative Places: Edenderry is supported by The Arts Council / An Comhairle Ealaíon (as part of the national Creative Places programme) and led by Creative Lives, in partnership with Offaly County Council’s Arts Office and a range of other stakeholders.
