Drawn Together at National Museum Wales Free drawing workshops alongside the Drawn Together exhibition in Cardiff Thousands of drawings from around Wales will go on display throughout October 2018 in the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff. The display, that aims to create a visual description of Wales today, is the result of Wales’s largest community drawing project, ‘Drawn Together’ and has been delivered by Coast Lines and Voluntary Arts Wales. Over the course of 6 months, artists, schools, businesses, community groups, locals and visitors alike were all invited to take a few moments out of their day and draw what they could see. Castles, beaches, mountains and lakes, iconic scenes began being uploaded to the project’s website, www.drawntogether.wales accompanied by sketches of more familiar and mundane yet equally valued views. Teapots and sinks, door steps and desks, sofas and gardens, all captured through a shared creative activity has resulted in Wales being drawn together. To coincide with display of drawings, throughout October there will be free drawing workshops in the Museum, led by the artists behind Drawn Together, giving others the chance to participate in the project.
