The Meadows Festival is a free annual two-day community festival, with music, performance, community connections, sport, family activities and youth performances.

Anyone can become a member of the Festival and stand for election to the management committee. Non-members can join at the AGM or during the event, which takes place on the Meadows in Edinburgh on the first weekend in June.

Our average audience over the weekend is about 25,000 people, most of whom are Edinburgh residents. We earn most of our income by running probably the biggest outdoor market in Scotland and charging traders for a pitch.

The committee usually meets in Tollcross Community Centre or nearby venues on average twice a month during the year, with a break after the festival.
