Tess Joyce from Inch Park Crafties in Edinburgh tells us how a 'Keep on Creating' microgrant from Creative Lives helped the group get going when finances proved challenging.

"At Inch Park Crafties, most of our members are pensioners on fixed incomes.

The wonderful grant we received from Creative Lives has allowed us to keep our meeting costs very low as well as trying new crafts, something we would not have been able to do without the grant.

Decoupage was one of the new crafts we tried our hands at and I don't think our group has ever been so focused. It was a resounding success with a second session run a few weeks later.

For many of our ladies, Inch Park Crafties is one of their only outings each week and the fun, laughter and companionship it offers is invaluable. It is very reassuring that due to the grant, our wee group will continue to meet for the foreseeable future."
