Get involved Creativity Map Gorton Visual Arts Gorton Visual Arts has been creating artwork in and around Gorton and Manchester since 2006. Our group is made up of 18 local residents, Lead Artist Ian McKay and Support Artist Andrew McKay. By involving elderly residents, vulnerable adults and residents with learning difficulties, in a safe studio environment, our projects have a strong element of outreach, being delivered to a wide range of all aspects of the community. We aim to develop new artistic skills for the group members who are encouraged to share these new skills with individuals and groups within the community. These opportunities for all residents take place at our studio and in exterior venues such as Gorton Monastery and Gorton Market. We meet once a week at Collier House (the old Oasis Centre) Wellington Street, Gorton, Manchester, M18 8 TX. For more information, and if you'd like to join us, visit our blog.
