The area is one of 16 awarded the Creative Civic Change fund project, for three years. Each community is supported with funds and advisors to deliver on their own visions using creativity.

The local mission is to make a creative cultural hub for Knowle West and beyond (further south Bristol).

The locally developed aims include transforming local spaces using creativity in order to bring people together, growing local pride, changing perceptions about the area, and nurture, support and showcase local creative talents.

All ideas were developed with local people as part of co-design workshops and interactive outreach on the streets, in the centre and at events.  Currently these activities are happening weekly:
