Taking your creativity to a new venue is a great way to boost the profile of your group and connect with new participants, audiences and potential volunteers.

Why not approach a venue you’ve never used before, such as a library, community centre or even a local pub or cafe to see if they would be interested in hosting an event during the Voluntary Arts Festival.

Public spaces like museums and shopping centres are great venues for drop-in type events, CraftBomb displays and/or Flashmob performances, as they often provide a captive audience to inspire and engage.

The Woollen Woods project - part of the Voluntary Arts Festival, also presents a great opportunity to work with a new venue, such as a local greenspace, community woodland or National Trust property. Download the Woollen Woods toolkit (coming soon) for more information and ideas on how to develop new partnerships to help establish a Woollen Woods in your area.
