Essex Chordsmen were established in 2016 and were formerly known as Chelmsford Star Barbershop
Harmony Club. Thirty years earlier Chelmsford Star Barbershop Harmony Club had been formed from
an amalgamation of the Colchester and Harlow clubs with members from the Chelmsford Area.

Their members come from all over Essex - and indeed beyond - to their rehearsal venue which is currently in Chelmsford.

They perform for both public and private events and charities throughout the county and beyond.
In particular, requests to sing at wedding functions have been especially popular recently and they would like to advise wedding planners to contact them early to avoid disappointment.

The chorus is a member of the British Association of Barbershop Singers and is the only male barbershop chorus in the county. 

Frequency of rehearsals: Every Monday 7:45pm until 10:00pm
