The Spode Rose GardenThe Friends of Spode Rose Garden was set up in 2016 and comprises 10 core volunteers who worked together to involve the public in designing the new garden, this involved incorporating the most loved Spode China Patterns into the planting schemes. Since then, the group have programmed 4 events per year, centering around creative themes, with raku ceramics firings, and drawing events as well as celebrating gardening and the contribution to wellbeing that being in green spaces can make. In 2017 the Friends developed a section of the garden based on the Spode Blue Italian pattern, which won a Silver Guilt Medal at RHS Tatton. The Rose Garden is currently a well-loved space that many visitors use daily.
