Tenx9 < Back to Shortlist Tenx9 is a storytelling event where nine people have up to ten minutes each to tell a true story from their own life. Started in Belfast in 2011 by Paul Doran and Pádraig Ó Tuama, Tenx9 is popular on the Belfast arts scene. Approached in early 2018 by the Northern Ireland Department of Health, Tenx9 were asked to take the format into prisons, a new environment for them. Over three sessions participants worked on their stories and presented it to an invited audience, and together the group achieved a sense of self-confidence and pride in their creative work. Tenx9 have since been invited back to run the work at a women’s prison. Website | Facebook | Twitter | Instagram | YouTube Manage Cookie Preferences
