Take A Part Carlow is led by an Arts Action Group (AAG) made up of community representatives from the Tullow Road area of Carlow Town along with agency partners.

Since 2016 the AAG have come together to create, pursue and deliver creative activities for the greater community in that area. So far, a family fun day featuring giant easels to paint on and a workshop in circus skills, a mask making workshop, a 5 week long community arts project with local children, and an ongoing Artists commission have all been delivered, and all under the banner Take A Part Carlow.

The pilot project now running since May 2017 is in full swing and aims to simply “Make Art on the Tullow Road”.

Take A Part Carlow was initiated by Carlow County Council Arts Office in partnership with the Arts Council of Ireland (under the Invitation to Collaborate Scheme), Take A Part CIC (UK), Carlow County Development Partnership and Carlow Regional Youth Services.
