Our Work of Art helped 169 older people in Canterbury and Herne Bay create hand-painted mugs and tiled murals that told personal views about their community. The project trialed an innovative way to deliver creative workshops by training over 40 volunteers with the skills to support vulnerable adults and to use a range of visual arts materials. This was supported by mentoring from a professional artist and the murals were put on display at local Age UK Centres.
