Left Behind ProductionsLeft Behind Productions was formed in 2018 by Bee Parkinson-Cameron, after she had written the play "The Journey Home". The play was based upon some of her own experiences of domestic abuse, in order to raise further awareness of its devastating impact on victims and their families.

Bee cast her show from local people who shared her passion for raising awareness of domestic abuse. Rehearsals and performances of the show took place in a community centre in Kirkcaldy, and as one of the cast members works for a prison, an abridged version of the show was performed in the woman's wing as part of their trauma week in October 2018.

The performance in the prison was warmly received, and during the Q&A session after the show, one of the women began to speak about her experiences of abuse, having previously never talked about it. During the show’s final performances, support workers who help those who have experienced abuse approached the company to tell them how important the play is and what it had meant to them.
