Keynsham Snap & Stroll began life as a project initiated by Creativity Works and Bath College in 2018, but has grown to become a peer-led creative group supporting more than 130 local people through creative photography. The group collaborate to set themes that can be undertaken at home or out and about, so that they are inclusive and accessible.

In 2019 the group were invited by Keynsham Town Council to create artwork for the local railway station, and later in the year were asked to display their work in a local café and at the Guildhall in Bath. Having stepped up to take ownership of the group after the initial project, several of the volunteers have grown in the roles. One member has gained the confidence and self-esteem to return to education and train as a teaching assistant.

The group is now strong and supportive, and this has helped people to be active and valued members of their community and offered personal progression opportunities while the creative expression has had a hugely positive impact on their individual wellbeing.
