Irish Video Game Orchestra< Back to Shortlist

The Irish Video Game Orchestra (IVGO) is a collective of amateur musicians made up of young adults living and working in the greater Belfast area.

The orchestra, which started as a one-time project for ‘Qcon’, the gaming and anime convention held annually at Queens university Belfast, has continued for 3 years due to the popular demand of the musicians involved and the returning audiences.

What is really amazing about our orchestra is that we select, arrange and rehearse all of our music ourselves. Our repertoire is mainly music from pop culture sources (video games, tv shows and anime) which brings in enthusiastic young audiences to the ‘classical music’ venues.
