Irish National School Photography AwardsINSPA began in 2017 and is a national children’s photography competition open to all schools in the Republic of Ireland. The annual awards aim to increase engagement with digital arts in primary level education, at the same time as inspiring passion and educating students about the creative process. To date INSPA has influenced c. 300 primary schools to register, with over 1000 students enter the competition. The awards take place online, via the INSPA website where teachers can enter their students’ entries. Each year the awards work with a charity partner who sets the award theme, with partners who offer prizes, as well as with two national panels of judges. INSPA is organised and managed by the voluntary community arts group OpenGorey.
