Comhaltas in Britain is a national voluntary organisation which promotes traditional Irish music, song, dance, language and culture across Britain.  

In June 2019 they took their usually private annual event, All Britain Fleadh Cheoil, out to the community for the first time, partnering with the town of Kirkby Lonsdale in Cumbria.

Working with local churches, schools, sports clubs, businesses, community organisations and the town council, the volunteers of Comhaltas in Britain created a whole town weekend festival of traditional Irish music and culture on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, attracting over 1,000 musicians, singers and dancers and 7,000 visitors to the town.
