empty space

'empty space' is a 17th Century barn in the Peak District village of Holme. True to it's materials, this beautifully simple space is a celebration of stone, wood and the creativity of our friends.

In 2013 we renovated the barn and started to use it as a workshop, gallery and creative space. After an intense period of work, the finished space has now evolved to include a full pottery studio, a complete carpentry workshop and a huge log burning stove.

We have started commissioning furniture to complement this space and our aim is to make it available to other groups and individuals looking for an empty space to fill with new ideas.

We are always open to proposals from other artists and groups who have an idea for using the space - please get in touch using the online contact form on our website www.empty.co.uk
