Exploring community creativity in Whitley and Church Wards

Creative Lives is carrying out a piece of work on behalf of Reading Borough Council to find out about volunteer and community-led creative activity in Whitley and Church Wards.

As part of our Creative Citizens activity, we are working in Reading to find out what’s going on locally, what creative groups need, how to support diverse groups, and how people might be supported to be creative. 

So far we have carried out several events to support local creative activity, and delivered a seed grant scheme for local groups.

We are continuing to work in Reading throughout 2025, so watch this space for more events and ways to get involved, and to learn more about our up-and-coming partnership with BBC Radio Berkshire.
