BBC Radio Merseyside

Throughout the summer of 2020, John Offord worked with two groups to produce two series of 5x12 minute Podcasts. In partnership with the SPACE centre in Liverpool, he worked with a group of young people to produce the series: Are we OK? The young people received Podcast training sessions and co-produced a series about themes impacting them throughout the pandemic. The episodes included discussions on mental health, the power of music and the Black Lives Matter movement. The series was launched on BBC Radio Merseyside on World Mental Health day (October 2020).

This period was a very worrying time for our young people and the podcasts gave them a chance to speak about how they were feeling, what they had been up to, and how they dealt with negative feelings and thoughts. - John Offord

We've recently produced a podcast series (it’s About Time) on BBC Radio Merseyside with a group of people with mental health experience. This was a partnership project with Time Banking UK and the Richmond Fellowship. You can listen to the Podcast series via Anchor FM.
