Bailieborough Creative Hub was set up in 2019 with the aim of getting people out of their homes and creating with other like-minded people, in a space where ideas can be shared and nurtured and their creative work celebrated.

The group works with local schools, youth and adult groups to deliver workshops that encourage creativity in Bailieborough, County Cavan. Projects so far include, ‘Poetry Town’, ‘Summer Festival Mini School’, ‘Cruinnau na nOg - National Children's Day of Creativity’, ‘Syrian Women's Art Journey’ and many more.

There are currently 16 members who have all volunteered their time in different ways over the past three years, and the group engages with the local library where the facilities are available to use for free for meetings, making sessions and exhibitions.

“The achievements of the ‘Hubsters’ over the past three years have been many and varied including publishing books, creating work for national charities, starting new creative businesses, exhibiting nationally and internationally, winning awards, and featuring in publications online and in print.” Sally-Ann Duffy, Bailieborough Creative Hub
