Hello folks and welcome to Aunty Social.

We started out back in 2011 as a group of friends who wanted something fun, affordable and social to do. At our Topping St venue, we host a variety of affordable creative and social activities, groups and events, designed to bring people together in a safe, supportive, gentle space.

We offer a space for creatives (both current and in-waiting) and community groups to feel safe, valued and supported. We believe that this type of environment helps everyone to be their most creative selves.

We’re led by volunteers who identify as traditionally marginalised members of the community and keen to promote the often overlooked talents of local people. We’re strong advocates of social justice and run ongoing projects that centre and uplift the voices of other marginalised groups, namely LGBTQIA+, women, disabled people and the Global Ethnic Majority.

We offer easily accessible, safe, gentle, welcoming spaces for community and volunteer-led creative activity at various weekly and monthly groups, mainly evenings and weekends, in 28 Topping St, Blackpool, FY1 3AQ.

Some of our activities are: Heritage Craft Workshops, Hey! Ho! Let's Sew, Blackpool Community Darkroom, Odie's Pottery - Casual Clay Sessions, Queer Craft Club, and Knittaz With Attitude.
