Fèis na h-Òige in Inverness screened the Disney hit film, Brave - and was able to invite a very special local singer along to the event.

Julie Fowlis appears on the original soundtrack for the film, as does guitarist Éamonn Doorley and young singer Peigi Barker. All three musicians ran a sing-a-long session of the title track 'Touch the Sky' and a rendition of 'A Mhaighdean Bhan Uasal (Noble Maiden Fair) before the main feature.

Julie also conducted a short Q&A session during which she explained how the Disney animators visited the local area of Inverness and Loch Ness while researching the film, and that although Brave isn't specifically set in either location, the local landscape provided the inspiration for the film.

As the audience came in, they were treated to some locally made Gaelic films created for the 'Film G' competition, alongside popcorn and tuck shop.
