Join Creative Lives and songwriter Kim Edgar for a fun day learning and recording a new song celebrating the Water of Leith in Edinburgh.

‘The River Speaks’ was written by Kim in collaboration with choir singers from across Edinburgh, who shared their thoughts and feelings about this wonderful river that runs through our city.

This event is aimed at amateur/community-based singers, however as we will be learning and recording the song in one day, it’s helpful (but not essential) if you are comfortable following a score. Kim will teach the song by ear on the day and the lyrics, music and recordings of the parts will all be available in advance.

The recording will be used in a podcast about the project, and will be shared online to aid other choirs in learning the song in the future. To find out more about Kim Edgar, songwriter and Music Director, please click here.

We have space for 120 singers (distributed across vocal parts). Please book your free space via Eventbrite here.
