Dates: 19 October - 2 November 2022

Engage, the UK's leading charity promoting engagement and participation in visual arts, has launched its new campaign, Let’s Create Art.

In its inaugural year, the campaign will highlight the vital role of visual arts engagement in promoting positive wellbeing and is calling for individuals and organisations across the UK to get involved.

Let's Create Art recognises the vast potential for the visual arts to support health and wellbeing in a community, gallery, or local setting. In addition to commonly understood visual arts activities such as painting, drawing and sculpture, activities could include film, virtual reality, design, craft or socially engaged art practices.

It's all about celebrating visual arts engagement and participation, and is open to activities with groups of all ages, abilities and art mediums.

Who is it for?

Whether you're an artist, gallery educator, grandparent or young creative, you can join in with Let’s Create Art. Through a series of resources, creative bursaries and sharing opportunities, Let’s Create Art will support organisations nationwide in delivering and evaluating impactful arts activities.

Engage is partnering with organisations across the UK (including Creative Lives) that share the value of promoting wellbeing through the visual arts, who will be supporting widening audience participation. By joining together, we can raise awareness and understanding of the impact of visual arts and celebrate the breadth and rich variety of activity taking place across the country.
