About us

This is an exciting time to join Creative Lives - a registered charity that was established in 1991. We champion community and volunteer-led creative activity, and work to improve opportunities for everyone to be creative. In particular, we celebrate and promote people expressing themselves creatively with others, recognising the benefits this can bring.

Creative Lives works with communities, organisations, policymakers, funders and creative individuals as a voice for positive change, to improve and expand the landscape in which creative participation can take place. We work to address inequalities in access to creative participation, promote inclusivity, connect people and communities, and seek to increase awareness of the links between creativity and wellbeing.

About the role

This is a new post for the team in Scotland and offers a rare opportunity to gain some management experience within a devolved organisational structure and collegiate team, under the guidance of the part-time Scotland Director. You will be the first point of contact for our day to day networking and external engagement across different areas of creative practice and locations across Scotland. It will be a varied role with lots of scope to add fresh thinking and connections. We are open to secondment approaches.

The Scotland Policy and Partnerships Coordinator will coordinate partnerships and networks across areas of public policy and creative practice in Scotland. The main conditions of employment are:

  • Salary: £27,467 per annum.
  • Location: Can be based anywhere in Scotland but must be able to work from our central Edinburgh office when required.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week (5 days) Hours can be flexible to take account of personal circumstances. There might be occasional evening and weekend work for which time off in lieu will be given.
  • Notice: 4 weeks’ notice is required and will be given.
  • Holidays: All statutory holidays applicable at the place of work plus 25 working days annual leave.
