About the fund

The Resilient Communities Programme has £2million of grant funding available to help individuals and organisations increase community participation with nature to help build resilient communities. Applicants can apply for a minimum of £10,000 per project, which must be delivered in Wales. 

What is funded

The funding will help deliver projects that give people opportunities for:

  • improved mental and physical health
  • learning new skills
  • being part of safer communities
  • more access to nature
  • a better awareness of the impact of climate change
  • involvement in making decisions about their natural environment
  • participation in citizen science.

Who can apply

Eligible applicants include individuals, public sector organisations, registered charities, higher education institutions and research institutes, third sector organisations and private sector organisations.

How to apply

You'll need to ask us for a reference number to add to your grant application available to obtain via Natural Resources Wales' website. Applications decisions should be received by 31 October 2022.
