This is a very exciting time to be joining Creative Lives.

The Creative Lives on Air Producer will be working to improve the resilience and diversity of creative cultural activity across Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale in West Yorkshire. They will work to promote the importance of local creative and cultural activity to improve wellbeing with a wide range of engagement campaigns, to be broadcast on BBC Radio Leeds. 

They will specifically work on a campaign to support young people (16-25) to engage in creative activity through music workshops and audio broadcasts.


The main conditions of employment are as follows:

  • Salary: £10,987 (based on £27,467 per annum)
  • Location: BBC Radio Leeds alongside homeworking (the successful candidate can expect some travel and networking across the region).
  • Hours: 15 hours per week (2 days) Hours can be flexible to take account of personal circumstances. There might be occasional evening and weekend work for which time off in lieu will be given.
  • Period: This is a fixed term contract until 31 March 2023.
  • Notice: 4 weeks’ notice is required and will be given. 
  • Holidays: All statutory holidays applicable at the place of work plus 5 working days annual leave (based on 25 days pro rata).
