The 2023 National Poetry Competition is now open for entries.

The competition is run by The Poetry Society, and is one of the world's biggest prizes for a single poem, with a first prize of £5,000, second prize of £2,000, third prize of £1,000 and seven commendations of £200. This year's judges are Clare Pollard, Will Harris and Jane Draycott.

Open to all poets worldwide aged 18 or over.
